What is IBS?
The Intervarsity Biochemistry Seminar (IBS) is an annual event supported by the Malaysian Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (MSBMB) and hosted by a selected university. It invites undergraduate students from public and private institutions across Malaysia to present findings from their final-year projects in biochemistry, molecular biology, and life sciences.
The 35th IBS, hosted by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), will be organised by students from the Biochemistry programme, Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. The proposed theme is “The Symphony of Cells: Harmonising Science Innovation.”
The seminar includes oral and poster presentations by students, talks by invited speakers, and judging by academic representatives. It is scheduled for 13 December 2025.
